A broad range of information both specialist and general is provided by the centre. TIC believes that both research and political action are necessary to effect changes in the policy of the Sri Lankan government in particular and other governments which are directly or indirectly involved in the conflict in Sri Lanka.
TIC publications range from briefing papers to reports and books on specific subjects dealing with issues affecting the Tamil-speaking people of Sri Lanka. It provides information to NGOs, inter-governmental organisations, religious organisations, researchers, policy planners, campaigners, journalists, MPs, human rights workers, social and cultural organisations and other interested parties. It also publishes newsletters and bulletins in both English and Tamil.
Reports and monographs produced by TIC deal with human rights, refugees & re-settlement and gender issues and include suggestions for action.
TIC has issued a number of news releases, memos, appreciation of human rights, social and cultural activists and published a number of documents on human rights and humanitarian issues to help create awareness on the situation in Sri Lanka, all of which are available for download here free.
