A broad range of information both specialist and general is provided by the centre. TIC believes that both research and political action are necessary to effect changes in the policy of the Sri Lankan government in particular and other governments which are directly or indirectly involved in the conflict in Sri Lanka.
TIC publications range from briefing papers to reports and books on specific subjects dealing with issues affecting the Tamil-speaking people of Sri Lanka. It provides information to NGOs, inter-governmental organizations, religious organizations, researchers, policy planners, campaigners, journalists, MPs, human rights workers, social and cultural organizations and other interested parties. It also publishes newsletters and bulletins in both English and Tamil.
Reports and monographs produced by TIC deal with human rights, refugees & re-settlement and gender issues and include suggestions for action.
